Hydropower plant
In March 2017, the GEEN group was granted a construction permit in Georgia to build small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 with an output of 1.9 MW. In the first phase, a path was built to the weir, a 1,600 m pressure feeder was built, an engine room with two Francis turbines was built, each with an output of 950 kW, and a 10 kV 11 m-long power line was repaired.
In early 2018, the second phase of construction began. Francis turbines were delivered in April, and in June the electrical installation of cables and electric equipment began. In September, a three-month trial operation was launched, and this fault-free trial was followed by the normal operation of the power plant. In April 2019, the power plant was inaugurated with the participation of investors, representatives of the Georgian government and the media.
In 2020 the plant was in standard operation.
