Green energy is a priority for Czech people
Case study Fibertex
The timeline shows the whole process, which began with a meeting in July and ended in January when the technical documentation was submitted. The implementation took less than two months, and we also worked over the Christmas holidays; this shows our ability to respond quickly and complete projects in record time. In total, Fibertex invested around CZK 2 million in complete replacement of their lighting, with a 2.9-year return on investment.

The lighting system we installed consists of 179 LED lights with a power of 82 W, of which 89 have special optics for storage aisles with minimal glare. We also installed 24 LED lights with a power of 165 W in the expedition section in order to meet the requirements for higher lighting intensity.
The whole system has two automatic profiles – a day-time and night-time profile. During the day, everything is controlled by sensors that maintain the value set by the investor. In the night-time profile, only the road aisles with motion sensors are illuminated. The maximum power with regard to the project, which required a maintenance factor, was reduced to 70%. This will keep the intensity of the lighting the same throughout the service life of the lights.
'GEEN Development a.s. modernised the lighting in our finished production warehouse. Thanks to our positive experience with the implementation and functioning of the intelligent lighting system, and the fact that the project also makes sense economically, we will definitely consider this company in future tenders, and not only in the renewal of lighting systems,' says Dominik Peterka, Investment Technician at Fibertex, describing the cooperation.
'We're happy to see Fibertex is satisfied with the saving measures we implemented. It was also thanks to their approach that we were able to come up with the solution. Fibertex representatives knew what they want and understood the issue of the lighting. They performed their own test using data the company received from potential suppliers. They tested samples of lights from all bidders and examined their design, temperature, how people perceived their glare, and other decisive factors. We're glad that the lights we proposed passed the test, and we look forward to further cooperation in the future,' says František Dovčík, who was responsible for the entire project.
