Energana Gospić

In late 2020, another one of our Croatian biomass combustion plants, Energana Gospić, was approved. This power plant worth CZK 1 bln. is now in trial operation, in which it will continue to run for the next three months. As in the previous two projects, Benkovac and Županja, that total installed capacity is 4.96 MW of electricity and 8 MW of heat. GEEN therefore produces a total of 120 000 MWh of electricity per year using only renewable sources. This power could supply electricity for an entire city the size of Hradec Králové or Liberec and the adjoining villages! An interesting fact is that Energana Gospić is located near the birthplace of the most important electrical engineer in history: Nikola Tesla.
