GEEN

The Županja power plant is the second project of the Brno-based GEEN group. This biomass combustion plant with a capacity of 5 MW has completed its trial operation, which proved its trouble-free running. This plant is identical to the power plant in Benkovac, operated by GEEN in Croatia since 2018. The investment is worth CZK 1 bln., and the rate of return of the investment is 5 years. The company is currently preparing to build another third power plant in the region.

GEEN officially launched hydropower plant Jonouli 1 in Georgia. The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mrs. Natia Turnava, Deputy Governor Giorgi Gonadz, and the Georgian media, participated in the ceremonious launch of the power plant. The company is currently planning the construction of the second power plant in the complex it intends to build in Georgia.

Czech hydropower plants are returning to the production values of previous years

The trial operation of hydropower plant Jonouli 1 in Georgia was trouble-free. The power plant was completed by Brno-based investment and engineering group GEEN in September. The plant's production capacity is 9 million kWh per year, and over USD 4 million were invested in it.

GEEN Holding reached a turnover of CZK 1.5 bln. in 2018, it completed three power plant projects in the Czech Republic and abroad, and it is building more.

In October this year, GEEN Holding recorded an increase in electricity production in photovoltaic power stations of up to 60 % thanks to the warm sunny weather.

GEEN Holding completed the construction of new small hydropower plant Široká Niva on the River Opava with an installed capacity of 400 kW. This hydropower plant is near Bruntál, and the electricity it produces covers the consumption of about 340 households.

In September 2018, trial operation of Croatian power plant Benkovac began.

On 14 September 2018, trial operation of small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 in Georgia was ceremoniously launched with the participation of investors and managers of GEEN Development a.s., GEEN Holding a.s., LLC GEEN Georgia and LLC Jonouli 1

The construction of small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 with a capacity of 1.85 MW is in the following phase: the cleaning machine was installed, and concreting of the weir is currently in progress.

The construction of small hydropower plant Široká Niva with a total capacity of 0.400 MW was completed in late July.

Machinery is currently being installed in the small hydropower plant Jonouli 1.

Small hydropower plant Široká Niva on the River Opava is currently in the last stage of construction.

On 18 April 2018, trucks brought two Francis turbines with accessories from the Czech Republic to the small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 in Georgia.

The machine room of small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 is ready for the installation of technology.

In November 2017, the GEEN group was the winning bidder in a tender for the construction of new hydropower plant Jonouli 2 in Georgia. The capacity of this power plant will be 35-40 MW.

Small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 is currently in the second phase of construction.

In small hydropower plant Široká Niva, finishing works on the trash rack are underway and it is being prepared for trial operation.

New acquisition in Ostrava-Radvanice.

In October and November, construction work on small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 continued according to the project's schedule.

In the summer of 2017, the construction of a 4.96 MWe energy source in the industrial complex in Gospić, Croatia, began. The foundations of the main building (boiler room, machine room) and the turbine base are currently being built.

In May 2017, the construction of small hydropower plant Jonouli 1 in Georgia began.

In October 2017, Ústecká vodní s.r.o. became the owner of 3 small hydropower plants.

On 20 June 2017, construction was ceremoniously launched in Gospić, Croatia, and the foundation stone of the future renewable electricity source was laid.
